Special Needs Planning FAQ
Anyone can establish a special needs trust. A third party special needs trust can be created by one person for the benefit of another. The person creating the trust can choose to make some of his or her assets available for the advantage of the beneficiary with a disability.
The trust can pay for physical therapy, medications, transportation, and medical treatment. The trust may also allow for other life-enhancing items, such as education, entertainment, travel, companionship, furniture and some other utilities such as telephone service, furniture, and other technology.
